A note from Sam to the Student Body
Hi! I'm Sam Longlet, and I am your Speaker of the Assembly for the 2024-2025 Academic Year. This will be my third term leading the Assembly, and my fourth year in the WSA legislative branch. I joined WSA way back in 2021 as a Senator, a position that no longer exists! I wished to join because I wanted to better myself as a leader and improve my resume, but it soon became so much more than that. I found my passion in helping other students grow themselves and their RSOs, and as Speaker, I intend on doing that again!
I am a 4th year Public Policy Major with minors in German and History, and will graduate in the Spring of 2025. I hope that, after graduation, my ambitions will take me to Grad School at DC's George Washington University. I am 21 years old and find personal passions in camping, hiking, and generally being outdoors (however much I can with my busy schedule...). I also have a rescue orange tabby cat named Simba :)
Within my role as Speaker, I will continue where I left off last year by:
Continuing to grow the Assembly
Continuing to explore what the Assembly's position is on campus
Continue to grow along side my branch
Please reach out with any questions regarding the Assembly, or my role within it.
Rock and Roll,
Samuel J. Longlet
